DStudio was commissioned after a competitive tender process which involved four other leading Australian architectural firms. The brief for the nursing home was specific and the budget limited. The outcome was an innovative building, including a series of courtyards, which achieved an excellent outlook and amenity from the living spaces. The nursing home consists of fifty beds for stage one and an upgrade to eighty beds for stage two.

The planning of the nursing home has been commended by all the nursing staff and NSW Health Inspectors involved, while the building considers its suburban surroundings and sits perfectly nestled in quiet residential Raymond Terrace.
